The growth of mold in your home isn’t something you don’t need to worry about. Mold may seem relatively harmless, but exposure to it can cause all kinds of health issues, from severe allergic reactions to chronic lung illnesses and more. The thing about mold is that many people assume that if they can’t see it, then they don’t have it. This, however, isn’t necessarily true.

Believe it or not, but it’s estimated that around 50 percent of all homes in the U.S. have mold problems. Even more concerning is the fact that roughly 28 percent of the population are susceptible to mold-related health problems because of their genes. Mold tends to grow in dark and moist places, which means that more often than not, it’s difficult to spot unless you’re looking for it. Mold often grows inside of drywall, in leaking roofs, behind installed showers that weren’t properly installed and within crawl spaces that have poor air circulation. If your home has water damage or a musky odor, it could mean that you have mold issues nearby that you’ll need to take care of quickly.

Be wary of mold growth and contact us at Parker Young for a professional mold and mildew removal service in Georgia.
