Listening to what your house has to say is an important way to prevent damage to your home. The following are a few noises your home might be making that signal something is wrong:
- Running water – If it sounds like the water is running but no one is using it, there may be a leak somewhere. You can do this by looking for any water damage, which we can help restore.
- Noisy furnace – If you hear a booming sound, it’s because the burners are not lighting properly. This will get worse if you don’t call a professional to come fix it and can become a fire hazard.
- Footsteps – If you hear scurrying noises, then you may have a rodent problem. Not only is this unsanitary, but they could chew through electrical wires and cause fires.
- Buzzing lights – A buzzing light is usually the sign of a loose connection, which could lead to an electrical fire if it’s not fixed.
- Hissing sound – A hissing sound could be a gas leak, which means you need to evacuate the house right away and contact the gas company or emergency services.
Listen for these sounds and be sure to contact us at Parker Young for remediation and restoration services today.
